Chinese President Xi Jinping will visit the United States on September 24. During his meeting with President Donald Trump, the parties plan to discuss, in particular, the development of artificial intelligence.

Trump confirmed the date of the Chinese leader’s visit and noted that the topic of artificial intelligence will be one of the key ones during the negotiations.

“President Xi is coming on September 24th, and we talked about this (artificial intelligence) when I was in Beijing, and we will talk about it again,” the American president said.

The upcoming meeting will be a continuation of the dialogue that the leaders began during Trump’s visit to China earlier this year, when the American president invited Xi Jinping to visit the White House.

Preparations for the talks are already underway. The day before, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi discussed possible areas of cooperation to lay the groundwork for the upcoming leaders’ meeting.
