Ukrainian track and field athlete Yaroslava Maguchikh won the women’s high jump world championships. The Ukrainian’s winning result was 1.99 m.

The competition was the last international tournament of the season in women’s high jump. Ukraine was also represented by Yulia Levchenko and Iryna Gerashchenko.

Maguchikh missed the starting height of 1.86 m, and at 1.91 m she cleared the bar on the first attempt.

At a height of 1.95 m, the Ukrainian was successful again on the first attempt. After that, only Maguchykh and Nicola Olislagers from Australia continued to participate in the competition.

Maguchik cleared the 1.99 m bar on her second attempt. Olislagers failed to clear 1.99 m and finished the competition with a silver medal.

As a result, Maguchich took 1st place with a result of 1.99 m, Olislagers came in 2nd with a result of 1.95 m. Eleanor Patterson from Australia and Angelina Topic from Serbia shared 3rd place with a result of 1.91 m.

Among other Ukrainians, Iryna Gerashchenko took 5th place with a result of 1.91 m, and Yulia Levchenko – 6th with a result of 1.86 m.

Recall that Ukrainian track and field athlete Yaroslava Maguchikh won the gold medal at the 2026 European Championships in Birmingham . For the 24-year-old athlete, this is the third consecutive European high jump title.
