Yaroslavl Oil Refinery in Russia Stopped After Ukrainian Drone Strike – Media

The Yaroslavl Refinery in Russia halted crude oil processing on September 17 after a Ukrainian drone attack. The strike damaged one of the plant’s main units, which was providing about 40% of its capacity.

This is the AVT-3 primary oil refining unit, which could process over 17 thousand tons of raw materials per day.

Meanwhile, another AVT-4 unit, which accounts for about a third of the refinery’s capacity, was already under repair. It was damaged during a previous drone attack on August 28.

As a result, the Yaroslavl Refinery was actually left without two main primary oil processing units.

The consequences of the strike have already affected fuel supplies. On Thursday, products from the Yaroslavl Refinery were not offered for sale on the Russian domestic commodity exchange.

Slavneft Yaroslavnaftoorgsintez is one of the largest oil refineries in Russia.

As a reminder, on the night of Thursday, September 17, drones attacked several regions of Russia . In Rostov-on-Don, a fire probably broke out on the territory of a military airfield, and in Yaroslavl, the Slavneft-YANOS oil refinery caught fire.
