Yellow alert: forecasters warn of worsening weather

Forecasters have warned that worsening weather conditions will affect Ukraine from February 19.

This was reported to the State Emergency Service.

In particular, snow and blizzards are expected in Kirovohrad, Cherkasy, Poltava, and Sumy regions.

In most southern and central regions and on the Left Bank, wind gusts will reach 15-20 m/s.

There will be ice on the roads in almost all regions, except the southeast and Transcarpathia. Rescuers have warned of a 1st (yellow) level of danger.

“The roads in Kyiv and the region will also be slippery! Be as careful as possible! Take care of yourself and your loved ones!” the State Emergency Service urged.
