Despite his dismissal from the post of Head of the President’s Office, Andriy Yermak continues to hold at least nine positions in structures related to national security and the activities of the head of state.
This is reported by ZN.UA.
Yermak is still listed among the members of the National Security and Defense Council – this information was also confirmed by the Speaker of the Parliament Ruslan Stefanchuk. An attempt to summon Yermak to the Verkhovna Rada on this issue failed: only 74 deputies voted for the initiative.
He also remains a member of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief’s staff, to which he was introduced by President Volodymyr Zelensky on February 24, 2022. After Yermak’s dismissal, no decree on changes in the staff composition appeared.
In addition, Yermak continues to work in advisory and consultative bodies under the president:
-
Member of the National Investment Council;
-
Chairman of the Council for the Support of Entrepreneurship;
-
Deputy Chairman of the National Council for Anti-Corruption Policy.
He also maintains leadership roles in several groups and headquarters:
-
Head of the Coordination Headquarters for Humanitarian and Social Issues;
-
Co-chair of the Yermak-McFaul international expert group on sanctions against the Russian Federation;
-
Co-chair of the Yermak-Rasmussen International Advisory Group on Ukraine’s Security Guarantees.
Yermak also continues to head the Commission on State Awards and Heraldry.
ZN.UA notes that Zelensky appointed Yermak as the head of the negotiating team with the US after the anti-corruption authorities reported that they were ready to declare Yermak under suspicion. After his dismissal, the delegation was headed by the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, Rustem Umerov, about whom warnings were also issued.
It was previously reported that former head of the President’s Office Andriy Yermak was banned from traveling abroad.
We will remind, the head of the President’s Office, Andriy Yermak, also appears on the “Mindich tapes” released by NABU as part of the investigation into corruption in the energy sector.
