The head of the Presidential Office, Andriy Yermak, tasked his security forces with destroying the National Anti-Corruption Bureau and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office.

Anti-corruption activist, lawyer, and head of the public anti-corruption center “Granitsa” Martyna Boguslavets wrote about this on her Facebook page, outlining the costs to Ukrainians of the head of the Office of the President’s continued tenure.

“Yermak ordered the destruction of NABU and SAP. Zelenskyy, meanwhile, saving Yermak, crosses the border and hints to the soon-to-be-Defender of the Pentagon that there will be no negotiations if Yermak is suspected by NABU… I’m shocked because we’re all being taken hostage, and this is effectively becoming a condition for continuing negotiations,” she said.

According to the activist, what Zelenskyy is telling the Americans is an even bigger shock, because it makes us look like a banana republic to the US.

“Because only in a banana republic is preserving the country’s sovereignty weighed against saving one’s inner circle from punishment for corruption. Zelenskyy says something about internal enemies with Ukrainian passports, but feigns deafness when he ignores calls to deal with such people within his own country.”

She listed what, in her opinion, saving Yermak and keeping him in office would cost Ukraine.

Terror of NABU, SAP and all the journalists who actively wrote about Mindich’s tapes.

“Yermak will continue to hold meetings with security forces, prosecutors, the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), and the State Bureau of Investigation (DBI) to have them fabricate custom-made cases against players who are anti-corruption agents. Law enforcement officials, it’s time for a mature conversation with you. I know there are still those among you for whom the word ‘honor’ is not an empty phrase. It’s time to put your names on the list,” the lawyer says.

Weakening our position in negotiations.

“Because of the opportunity to pressure Ukraine based on Zelenskyy’s weak point—Yermak. Zelenskyy himself revealed this sore point to the Americans. The enemy has now also understood this sore point. The price could be very high,” Boguslavets emphasized.

Internal political chaos and the threat of budget disruption for 2026.

“MPs are already joking about Zelenskyy’s responses to factions, considering lucrative offers to switch to other factions, and… postponing the budget vote until December. This means, due to the internal crisis, Ukraine will vote on the 2026 budget just days before 2026. Do we need to explain the risks here? Because Yermak hasn’t been released, the situation in the Verkhovna Rada has become even more dire,” the public figure noted.

Growing social tensions in Ukraine.

“The Ukrainians were ignored. Their plea and cry for justice and not to shield their friends were ignored. Does Zelenskyy understand this? Yes, very well. What is driving him at this moment? Perhaps the fear that he can’t trust anyone else with the issues Yerank knew about? Will he accommodate the Ukrainians?” concluded Martyna Boguslavets.

As a reminder, following Operation Midas, which exposed large-scale corruption at Energoatom and rocked the government, a systematic campaign to discredit NABU and the SAP was launched on Ukrainian Telegram . Anti-corruption agencies called the operation one of the most effective in 2025, but alongside its successes, a wave of identical messages appeared attacking investigators and prosecutors.

On the eve, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy enacted National Security and Defense Council sanctions against Kvartal-95 co-owner Timur Mindich and businessman Alexander Tsukerman, who are linked to a corruption case in the energy sector.

It was previously reported that the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office are conducting a large-scale operation, Operation Midas, to expose corruption in the energy sector.
