Investigative journalist Yuriy Nikolov suggested that the anti-corruption authorities may have suspended the investigation into Andriy Yermak. In his opinion, the reason for this could have been a meeting between the heads of the NABU and SAPO with Volodymyr Zelensky, after which active actions in the case ceased.
Nikolov spoke about this on the air of “Pryamoy”, commenting on the lack of official suspicion of Yermak after the searches.
He noted that the detectives’ visit to the suspect’s apartment indicated that the investigation had strong grounds for suspicion, since such actions require a court order.
“NABU and SAPO started off cheerfully, and then, as far as I understand, yesterday they had meetings with Volodymyr Zelensky himself, the heads of these bodies, and after these meetings, boom, and there’s nothing?” the journalist noted.
According to the journalist, the anti-corruption activists did not use their “last argument”, which allowed the person involved in the case to act as a victim.
Nikolov believes that the only clear indicator of real progress in the investigation will be the announcement of official suspicion against Yermak. Without this step, all previous actions look like uncertainty or a bluff on the part of law enforcement officers.
We will remind that on the morning of November 28, NABU detectives, together with SAPO prosecutors, conducted investigative actions in the government quarter , where the office of the head of the President’s Office, Andriy Yermak, is located. The official himself confirmed that his apartment was being searched .
It should be noted that Andriy Yermak appears in the “Mindich tapes” released by NABU as part of an investigation into corruption in the energy sector, under the code name “Ali Baba” .
Later it became known that Yermak had submitted a resignation from the post of head of the OP. At the same time, he announced that he was going to go to the front .
In addition, former Chief of Staff of the President Andriy Yermak stated that he will continue to consider President Volodymyr Zelenskyy his friend . He also confirmed his participation in peace talks with the United States to end Russia’s war against Ukraine.
