“Your name is there too”: MP from former OPZH found out during TSK that he appears on “Mindich’s tapes”

MP Hryhoriy Mamka from the “Platform for Life and Peace” group learned during a meeting of the Temporary Investigative Commission that his name appears on the so-called “Mindich tapes.” This became known after NABU detective Oleksandr Abakumov answered his questions about the case.

It is noted that during a meeting of the Temporary Investigative Commission of the Verkhovna Rada on Economic Security, Hryhoriy Mamka asked NABU detective Oleksandr Abakumov about the origin of funds involved in criminal proceedings.
The deputy asked whether a predicate had been established – a predicate crime, as a result of which funds requiring legalization could have appeared.
“Grigory Mykolayovych, there is a predicate,” replied Alexander Abakumov.
After that, he added: “I won’t go into details and answer a lot of questions, because your name also appears on the tapes . So, sorry, I can’t,” said Alexander Abakumov.
The so-called “Mindich tapes” are audio recordings that the National Anti-Corruption Bureau obtained during covert investigative actions as part of the Energoatom corruption investigation. The main suspect in the case is businessman Timur Mindich.
Hryhoriy Mamka is a former law enforcement officer and previously held the position of Deputy Head of the Main Investigation Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.
In 2019, he was elected as a People’s Deputy of the ninth convocation on the list of the Opposition Platform – For Life party. He also holds the position of Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Law Enforcement Activities.
It was previously reported that the head of the President’s Office, Andriy Yermak, also appears on the “Mindich tapes” released by NABU as part of an investigation into corruption in the energy sector.
By the way, NABU Director Semen Kryvonos stated that the anti-corruption bureau has been encountering difficulties in obtaining data from the State Financial Monitoring Service for a long time.
