Zaporizhstal again lost power due to Russian attack
As a result of a massive Russian drone attack on the energy infrastructure of the Zaporizhia region, the largest metallurgical plant in Ukraine was again left without electricity and suspended operations.
This was reported at the company.
On January 7, a drone attack on the Ukrainian power system in the Zaporizhzhia region caused a blackout. Zaporizhzhiastal, like other consumers in the region, completely lost its external power supply.
Due to the power outage, the company suspended all production processes. The staff promptly implemented anti-crisis measures and safely shut down the equipment.
The plant noted that the coordinated actions of employees and coordination with the regional energy services made it possible to avoid man-made accidents after a sudden power outage.
The team is currently working to stabilize the internal power grid. In conditions of limited power supply, routine maintenance is being performed on the main units to prepare for a phased and safe resumption of production.
The restart of the enterprise will be possible only after the full restoration of external power supply. The metallurgists thanked the energy sector, the responsible services, and the Zaporizhia Regional Military Administration for their joint work in eliminating the consequences of the attack.
Earlier it was reported that Russia shelled the Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhia regions . As a result of the prolonged and massive attack, emergency power outages were introduced.
