Zelensky and Merz discussed the results of the meeting in Florida

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a telephone conversation with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, during which the parties discussed the results of the meeting of the Ukrainian delegation with US President Donald Trump and his team in Florida.

Zelenskyy announced this on Telegram.

According to the head of state, he informed the German Chancellor about the key issues raised during the meeting with the American side. Zelensky thanked Merz for his advice and constant coordination.

Separately, the parties discussed the fake news spread by Russia, which, according to the president, Moscow is using to disrupt diplomatic efforts and justify prolonging the war.

Zelensky stressed that Russia must stop the war, strikes and bloodshed, and move from looking for ways to continue hostilities to taking real steps to restore security. He stressed that Ukraine has already submitted all its proposals for peace.

The President also thanked Germany, European partners, and the United States for supporting Ukraine on the path to a peaceful settlement.

It was previously reported that on December 29, US President Donald Trump had a new telephone conversation with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin.

As a reminder, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has stated his readiness to meet with Vladimir Putin in any format. He called the key condition that Russia’s statements correspond to its real actions.
