Zelensky and Trump held closed-door talks at the White House: details
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a bilateral meeting with US President Donald Trump at the White House. After the talks, the Ukrainian leader said that the parties discussed strengthening Ukrainian air defense, joint production of interceptors for Patriot systems, and further diplomatic steps.

According to Reuters, the talks lasted just over an hour. The meeting was held in the Oval Office behind closed doors, without the participation of media representatives, and the leaders did not make any joint statements after it ended.
Zelensky later called the talks a “good meeting” and thanked the US for its support for Ukraine.
“Thank you for everything we are doing together to protect the lives of Ukrainians and achieve peace,” the president wrote.
According to him, during the conversation, he expressed condolences to Trump over the death of Senator Lindsey Graham, whom he called a true friend of Ukraine.
The parties paid special attention to the development of cooperation in the field of air defense. According to Zelensky, they discussed the possibility of obtaining licenses for the production of interceptors for Patriot systems, as well as other initiatives that could strengthen the protection of Ukrainian skies.
In addition, the presidents touched on the diplomatic direction.
“It is important to intensify the diplomatic process. Our teams will agree on the details of further communication,” Zelenskyy noted.
