According to the report, both Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Donald Trump are expected to discuss the supply of Tomahawk cruise missiles and Patriot air defense systems during a meeting at the White House.
The Ukrainian delegation this week has already met with Raytheon, the manufacturer of Tomahawk, as well as with the manufacturers of Patriot systems.
Kyiv hopes that Friday’s meeting will help it obtain the modern weapons needed to conduct another counter-offensive operation against the Russian Federation.
“We can really go on the offensive – it all depends on the weapons we get and the approved plan,” a senior Ukrainian official said on condition of anonymity.
