The Ukrainian military has launched two missile strikes, destroying two Russian Su-34 fighter-bombers and hitting an Iskander missile launcher. At the same time, intelligence warns that Russia is preparing new ballistic strikes on Ukraine.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced this in his address on October 29.
According to the head of state, he received a report on the results of two missile strikes by the Ukrainian military.
“We carried out two missile strikes, destroyed two Russian Su-34s, and also hit an Iskander launcher. I thank you, guys, for the result!” Zelenskyy said.
The President also said that Ukrainian intelligence has information about Russia preparing new attacks using ballistic missiles.
Because of this, Ukraine needs additional interceptor missiles for air defense systems, primarily Patriot.
Zelensky stressed that Ukraine expects new decisions from partners regarding the supply of such missiles in order to be able to protect cities and civilians from Russian strikes.
As a reminder, on October 15, the Ukrainian Navy launched a strike with a Neptune aircraft against the Borisoglebsk airfield in the Voronezh region of Russia. At that time, the military reported the destruction of six Russian Su-34Ms and flight support equipment.
