Zelensky appointed Klymenko as Chairman of the Council of Experts on Energy Security

National Security and Defense Council Secretary Ihor Klymenko has been appointed Chairman of the Council of Experts on Energy Security. It is an advisory body to the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine.
The National Security and Defense Council reported this.
The corresponding amendments were made to the Decree of the President of Ukraine dated May 29, 2020 No. 206/2020 “On the Council of Experts on Energy Security Issues.”
The Council analyzes the status and effectiveness of state energy policy. Specifically, this includes energy conservation, the development of renewable energy sources, and the use of alternative fuels.
Based on the results of its work, the body prepares proposals for the National Security and Defense Council.
At the same time, the composition of the Council of Experts still needs to be approved by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
As a reminder, prior to his appointment as Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, Ihor Klymenko headed the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.
