Zelensky approved a new SBU operation against Russia: details
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that he has approved a new 40-day operation by the Security Service of Ukraine, which is intended to increase pressure on Russia and force it to end the war.
According to the president, he heard a report by Major General Yevheniy Khmara on the results of the work of the SBU, the use of long-range weapons, and the secret service’s further plans.
After the report, Zelensky agreed to conduct a 40-day operation to influence the aggressor state.
The President also praised the work of the Alpha Special Operations Center. He emphasized that for several months in a row, the unit has been demonstrating some of the best results on the front line thanks to the effective use of drones.
According to Zelensky, it is “Alpha” that currently has the highest rates of destruction of Russian military personnel and equipment among the units of the Defense Forces.
Separately, during the meeting, the issue of Ukraine’s internal security was discussed.
As a reminder, Ukrainian forces have struck a number of fuel infrastructure facilities in Russia . Two oil refineries in Ufa and an oil depot in the Krasnodar Territory were under attack.
