Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky arrived in Serbia on August 7, making his first visit to the country during his presidency. During the trip, he plans to discuss economic cooperation, relations with the EU, and security issues with the Serbian leadership.

He wrote about this in Telegram .

Zelensky noted that talks with Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić and Prime Minister Đuro Matsut are planned during the visit.

The parties plan to discuss expanding economic cooperation between Ukraine and Serbia, relations with the European Union, security issues, and other areas that may be mutually beneficial for both countries.

“Ukraine is always determined to work constructively, mutually beneficially and on the basis of mutual respect,” Zelenskyy noted.

This visit was Zelensky’s first to Serbia since the start of the full-scale Russian invasion and throughout his entire presidency.

The upcoming trip of the Ukrainian president to Belgrade was previously reported. One of the key meetings is expected to be Zelensky’s talks with Vučić.

In July, the Serbian president visited Kyiv, where he participated in the Southeastern Europe – Ukraine summit with other leaders.
