Zelensky confirmed the repeated attack on the Moscow Refinery and revealed the details
Ukrainian forces have again struck targets that support the Russian military machine. This night, the Moscow Oil Refinery was hit, as well as targets in the Rostov region and in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.
This was announced by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky.
According to him, this is the second attack on the Moscow Refinery in the past week. The plant is one of the key facilities of Russia’s fuel infrastructure and is of great importance for meeting the needs of the aggressor.
“This night, our long-range sanctions again reached the Moscow region: for the second time in a week, the Moscow Oil Refinery was hit,” Zelenskyy said.
The president also noted that the strikes were a response to Russian attacks on Ukrainian cities and communities.
“A completely fair response to Russian strikes on our cities and communities and another important result of the work of our soldiers on facilities that provide support for the Russian military machine,” he stressed.
Zelensky thanked the Ukrainian military and special services for the operation.
“I thank our Defense and Security Forces of Ukraine for their joint work – the SBU, SBS, SSO, GUR, and our missile brigade for its accuracy,” the head of state added.
The President also emphasized that Ukraine’s partners have noted the effectiveness of Ukraine’s long-range capabilities in recent days.
“It is time to end this war, and Russia must take the necessary steps in diplomacy,” Zelenskyy said.
As reported, on the night of Thursday, June 18, drones attacked a number of facilities in Russia. Moscow, Rostov and Belgorod regions were hit.After the attacks, fires broke out at several facilities.
