Zelensky confirmed the strike on the “Kremnaya” plant in Bryansk
In Bryansk, Russia, a missile attack hit the Silicon plant, which produces electronics for Russian missiles.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced this during a conversation with journalists.
According to him, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrsky, reported to him about the results of the operation.
“During the break, Commander Syrsky called me and told me about the successful operation. The Bryansk plant was impressed. It manufactured a control system for various types of missiles of the Russian Federation. We can congratulate our Armed Forces. Well done, thank you for your service,” Zelensky said.
Earlier, Russian media and local Telegram channels reported on explosions in Bryansk. According to them, the “Kremniy” plant could have been hit.
After the attack, explosions continued to be heard at the scene. According to preliminary information, ammunition detonation may have begun. The entrances to the enterprise were blocked.
The Silicon Plant produces microelectronics for Russian military equipment. These include components for Iskander missiles, Pantsir anti-aircraft systems, radar stations, electronic warfare systems, and drones.
Local authorities in the Bryansk region reported at least 12 casualties.
As previously reported, on March 7 and at night on March 8, the Ukrainian military launched strikes on Russian military facilities, in particular in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.
As a reminder, during January and February 2026, units of the Ukrainian troops managed to strike a number of Russian facilities , including three large military-industrial complex enterprises, a missile range, and two arsenals.
