US President Donald Trump has again criticized Volodymyr Zelenskyy over strikes on Russian oil refineries. The American leader said the attacks were hurting the global diesel market and accused the Ukrainian president of being unwilling to end the war.

Trump wrote about this on his social network Truth Social.

According to the American president, Ukrainian strikes on Russian refineries are negatively affecting global diesel fuel markets, particularly in the United States. He claims that American farmers, ranchers, and businesses are suffering because of this.

“Zelensky doesn’t care, and frankly, with all the money that Europe is giving him and that was previously given by ‘Crooked’ Joe Biden, he doesn’t want to end this war and probably never did,” Trump wrote.

He also said that Zelensky could have concluded a more favorable peace agreement two years ago. According to Trump, Ukraine has suffered significant territorial and human losses.

Separately, the US president explained his decision not to impose new sanctions against Russia. He claims that Washington is negotiating to end the war and does not want to push Moscow away from the negotiation process.

“I am in the process of negotiating peace in the war between Russia and Ukraine and do not want to do anything that will unwisely push Russia away from the negotiating table,” Trump said.

He added that negotiations are reportedly progressing, including on the release of the hostages. He said he may sign the sanctions document later.

Trump also explained his decision by saying that Russia, in his opinion, is currently providing much less support to Iran than it could.

As a reminder, on October 16, Trump refused to apply sanctions against Russia , as stipulated by the Graham-Blumenthal Act. The US President exercised the right of temporary exemption, explaining the decision by the country’s national interests.

Trump had previously called on Zelensky to stop strikes on Russian refineries , saying they were causing global oil prices to rise.
