Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy commented on concerns about the consequences of the war in the Middle East and the possible impact on air defense supplies to Ukraine.

He answered the question about the possible consequences of the war in the Middle East in an interview with Rai Italia.

“The Iranian regime was transferring weapons to Russia that it used to kill us. Now this concern has decreased a little, because Iran is hardly capable of transferring anything to Russia now. But at one time they transferred licenses, and now Russia itself produces the corresponding missiles and drones,” the head of state noted.

He added that there is concern about signals from the US regarding the continuation of the military operation.

“They will count on additional air defense systems for themselves and their allies, and will also look at the capabilities of their production of RAS-2, RAS-3 – these are interceptor missiles for the Patriots. That is, there is concern that in the event of a long war, America may reduce supplies of air defense and missiles to Ukraine,” Zelensky explained.

As a reminder, Washington is preparing for a protracted confrontation with Iran . The US Central Command has asked the Pentagon to send additional personnel to support the operation, which may indicate preparations for combat operations lasting at least 100 days.

By the way, a number of European countries have agreed to develop a joint plan for evacuating the population across land borders in the event of a war.
