The transfer of Slavyanskaya, Kramatorsk, Druzhkovka, and neighboring towns to Russia could pave the way for Russian troops to further advance and seize new territories. It would also pose a threat to the Ukrainian economy.
The head of state stated this in the podcast The Diary Of A CEO .
According to the head of state, these cities are home to important industrial centers, including Pavlohrad, Dnipro, Kryvyi Rih, and Nikopol. They are important for Ukraine’s economy, engineering, and manufacturing sectors.
Zelenskyy emphasized that a powerful Ukrainian defense system is concentrated in this section of the front. If Russian troops gain control of the cities, they will be able to continue their offensive and capture a significant number of other settlements.
