On the evening of February 25, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a telephone conversation with White House Chief of Staff Donald Trump.

He reported this on Telegram.

In addition to the leaders, Trump’s representatives — Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner — participated in the conversation.

In particular, they discussed issues that representatives of the countries will work on at a bilateral meeting in Geneva on February 26.

“Our teams are working hard now, and I thanked them for all their efforts and such involvement in the negotiations, in the work to end the war,” the president noted.

Separately, they raised the topic of preparing new trilateral talks, which could take place in early March. Zelensky hopes that their results will allow for a move to a meeting at the leadership level.

“President Trump supports this sequence of steps. Only in this way can all the difficult and sensitive issues be resolved and the war finally ended,” he added.

As a reminder, Zelensky reported on progress in the military direction during the trilateral negotiations in the Ukraine-US-Russia format on ending the war.

Earlier, Witkoff said that after the trilateral talks between Ukraine, the United States, and Russia in Geneva , “tremendous progress” was achieved on the issue of a peaceful settlement .

As reported, US President Donald Trump has increased pressure on Ukraine to “quickly” reach an agreement with Russia ahead of talks in Geneva.
