Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is considering possible candidates for the position of head of the Foreign Intelligence Service. Among the potential candidates are former Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba, head of the Security Service of Ukraine Vasyl Malyuk, and Azov commander Andriy Biletsky.

This is reported by RBC-Ukraine, citing an informed source.

According to the publication’s interlocutor, the head of state is looking for a candidate depending on the format in which the Foreign Intelligence Service will operate in the future. The president is considering options for appointing a diplomat, military or professional intelligence officer.

It is expected that Zelensky will be presented with a list of candidates, after which he will hold personal conversations with potential candidates and make a final decision.

It was previously reported that on Friday , information appeared about the appointment of a new head of the Foreign Intelligence Service . The corresponding presidential decree was then published, but it later disappeared from official resources, and a final explanation of this situation has not yet been published.

As a reminder, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy dismissed Serhiy Deinek from the post of Head of the State Border Service of Ukraine. The temporary performance of the duties of the Head of the State Border Service of Ukraine was entrusted to First Deputy Valery Vavrynyuk.
