Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced the signing of several new decrees that increase sanctions pressure on the Russian Federation. The decisions concern three key areas: Russian businessmen, the military industry, and the oil sector.

He wrote about this in Telegram .

In his address, the president emphasized that the first decree extends sanctions that were set to expire soon. They apply to Russian businessmen with ties to the Putin regime.

The second document is directed against the Russian military industry , in particular, manufacturers of drones and their components, which are used in the war against Ukraine.

The third decree provides for sanctions against individuals and companies related to the Russian oil sector. As Zelensky noted, these restrictions are part of a comprehensive policy of economic pressure on the aggressor.

The Head of State emphasized that Ukraine coordinates its sanctions decisions with international partners.

“We continue our comprehensive policy of pressure on Russia. Many Ukrainian developments are already forming the basis of our partners’ sanctions. We are counting on the synchronization of our sanctions with our partners,” the president said.

Zelensky also reported that Ukraine is waiting for a new, 19th package of sanctions from the European Union, as well as for corresponding steps from the United States of America.

The President emphasized that Russia rejects any possibility of ending the war peacefully.

“Putin wants to fight exactly like this – with terrorist and vile methods. Russia must feel the answers to this,” he emphasized.

Zelensky expressed confidence that Europe, America, the G7 and G20 countries have every opportunity to bring any terrorist to justice.

Earlier, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga called for a tough response to the missile and drone strike on Shostka and insisted on the introduction of “new devastating sanctions” against Russia.

Let us recall that the European Union decided to extend individual sanctions against Russia for another year – until October 9, 2026. The lists include traitor Viktor Medvedchuk.
