Zelenskyy announced a joint project with Sweden to develop combat aviation

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced the preparation of new joint steps with Sweden in the development of combat aviation.

He said this in an evening video address.

In particular, the president informed that he had a conversation with Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson. According to him, they discussed cooperation in the development of Ukrainian military aviation. Therefore, the project may seem very strong.

“We are preparing new steps with Sweden in the development of our Ukrainian combat aviation. This can be a strong project for decades,” Zelenskyy assured.

Also, following the conversation, he noted that the question of which combat platforms the aviation fleet will operate on in the next stages is currently being clarified.

“We agreed that our teams – from Ukraine and Sweden – will work on this issue in a meaningful way,” the president emphasized.

Recall that President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Ukraine’s goal is to fully integrate the Air Force with NATO forces .
