The Ukrainian delegation is already heading to the United States, where a meeting with representatives of the American side is scheduled for March 21 regarding further negotiations to end the war.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced this during his address.
According to the head of state, Ukraine has received signals from the United States about its readiness to continue negotiations in the current formats.
“There was a pause in the negotiations – it’s time to end it. We are doing everything to ensure that the negotiations are meaningful. The Ukrainian team – the political part of the negotiating group – is already on its way,” Zelenskyy said.
He clarified that the meeting in the United States is scheduled for Saturday, March 21. The participation of Russian representatives has not yet been confirmed.
The delegation included Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Rustem Umerov, Head of the Presidential Office Kyrylo Budanov, Head of the Servant of the People faction Davyd Arakhamia, and Deputy Head of the Presidential Office Serhiy Kyslytsia.
Earlier, it was reported that Russian dictator Vladimir Putin’s press secretary Dmitry Peskov said that trilateral talks between Ukraine, the United States, and Russia are currently suspended.
As a reminder, the peace process to end the war between Ukraine and Russia is in danger of collapse . According to diplomats, the reason for this is US President Donald Trump’s declining interest in negotiations and the aggravation of the situation in the Middle East, which is distracting Washington’s attention.
