Zelenskyy announced a new threat from Belarus

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has stated the risk of Belarus being drawn into a war against Ukraine amid increased military activity on the border.

The president announced this following a report by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrsky.

According to the head of state, the Ukrainian military continues to hold its positions and deter attacks by Russian troops. In April, the high rate of destruction of the occupiers remains, and Russia cannot seize the initiative on the front.

At the same time, Ukrainian intelligence is recording attempts by Russian troops to regroup forces, presumably to compensate for personnel losses.

Zelenskyy separately drew attention to the activation of the Belarusian armed forces near the border with Ukraine. According to him, they are building roads towards Ukraine and equipping artillery positions there.

The President believes that Russia is trying to drag Belarus into war. In this regard, Ukraine has issued a warning to the Belarusian leadership about its readiness to defend its territory and independence.

Earlier it was reported that the self-proclaimed President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko stated that the Belarusian Armed Forces are preparing for war.

As a reminder, Ukraine is strengthening the border line with Belarus so that the soldiers of the Defense Forces can counter it in the event of a threat.
