Zelenskyy announced negotiations with the US: they will discuss an “Easter truce”

On Wednesday, April 1, Ukraine will hold talks with the American team to discuss a ceasefire for the Easter holidays.
This was stated by President Volodymyr Zelensky, Ukrinform reports .
He emphasized that Ukraine is waiting for a response from the Russian side and hopes that the United States will support the proposal.
“Tomorrow I will talk to the American team, including about this issue, and we expect results. Everyone needs results,” Zelenskyy noted.
He separately stated that Russia is not seeking to conclude a reliable peace agreement. According to him, “everything depends on pressure.”
“I hope that the United States will remain resolute, help bring Russia to a trilateral meeting and pressure it for peace,” the president added.
Earlier, Volodymyr Zelenskyy declared his readiness for any format of ceasefire , in particular for Easter. Ukraine will agree to a truce provided that Russia completely stops attacks.
The Kremlin later responded to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s proposal for an Easter truce. According to Peskov, Moscow does not support the idea of a ceasefire for the holidays .
