Zelenskyy Announces Major Personnel Changes in Ukraine’s Armed Forces
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy received a report from the military command on the situation at the front and instructed officials to prepare the personnel decisions proposed by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The military leadership also identified priorities for long-range strikes over the coming weeks and in September.
This was announced by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky.
According to him, special attention was paid during the report to the situation in the Donetsk region. The focus was on Kostyantynivka, Sloviansk, and Pokrovs’kyi areas.
The military has updated data on the plans and tasks of the Russian army in these areas and is already preparing countermeasures.
Separately, Zelenskyy heard a report by the Minister of Defense on protecting cities, communities, and frontline logistics from Russian drones. The president emphasized that this area needs additional resources to be strengthened.
Together with the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Zelenskyy also identified additional steps to strengthen Ukrainian defenses in the most tense areas of the front.
In addition, the president was instructed to prepare personnel decisions proposed by the head of the department. Zelenskyy did not specify who exactly he was referring to.
During the meeting, they also summarized the results of long-range operations in the first half of August and set priorities for such strikes in the coming weeks and September.
According to Zelensky, confirmed Russian losses show that Ukraine has correctly determined the direction of long-range operations.
