Zelenskyy announced personnel decisions regarding the heads of the OVA in five regions

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced consultations on the appointment of new heads of regional administrations in 5 regions of Ukraine. Decisions should be made in the near future, and the new heads of regions will begin work next week.
He wrote about this in Telegram .
The President stated that the consultations concern Vinnytsia, Dnipropetrovsk, Poltava, Ternopil and Chernivtsi regions. According to him, the range of candidates has already been determined, and final decisions are planned to be made in the near future with further approval by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
“We are continuing personnel changes and are currently holding consultations on new heads of regional administrations in five regions. The list of candidates has been determined. Decisions will be made tomorrow, and I expect that the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine will approve the appointments in the near future. The new heads of regions should start working next week,” said Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
In Vinnytsia Oblast, after the dismissal of Serhiy Borzov from the post of head of the regional military administration on June 25, 2024, the region remains without a fully appointed leader. The duties of the head are temporarily performed by the first deputy head of the OVA, Natalya Zabolotna, who recently returned from maternity leave.
In the Dnipropetrovsk region, the president signed a decree appointing Vladyslav Haivanenko as the acting head of the regional state administration. The corresponding decree was published on October 15. Before that, Serhiy Lysak was dismissed from his post and appointed head of the newly created Odessa City Military Administration. Before his appointment, Vladyslav Haivanenko held the position of deputy head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration.
In Poltava region, in December 2024, the president signed a decree dismissing Philip Pronin from the post of head of the OVA. Volodymyr Kohut has been temporarily performing the duties of the head of the region since January 1. This information was confirmed by the press service of the Poltava OVA.
In Ternopil region, Vyacheslav Nehoda was officially appointed head of the regional state administration on August 24, 2024. The corresponding decree was signed by the President of Ukraine. Prior to this, the government approved his candidacy on August 16.
In Chernivtsi region, the president announced the dismissal of the head of the OVA, Ruslan Zaparanyuk. He has headed the regional administration for three and a half years. His appointment was approved by the Cabinet of Ministers in July 2022. Before that, he was the head of the regional branch of Oschadbank in Chernivtsi.
It is worth adding that the President of Ukraine held a meeting with Denys Shmyhal, who was offered the position of head of the Ministry of Energy , during which they discussed the issues of state protection and stable operation of the energy sector. The main emphasis was placed on the prompt restoration of facilities after Russian strikes and ensuring Ukraine’s needs.
The day before, the Verkhovna Rada explained the situation surrounding the possible dismissal of the head of the Security Service of Ukraine, Vasyl Malyuk , and his possible replacement.
By the way, Oleksandr Kononenko was appointed the new head of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine . He replaced Oleg Ivashchenko, who was previously appointed head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense.
It was previously reported that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy proposed that Mykhailo Fedorov head the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
Recall that the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky met with Kirill Budanov and offered him the position of head of the Office of the President . The purpose of the appointment is to increase attention to security, the development of the Defense Forces and the diplomatic track in negotiations. Later it became known that Budanov accepted Zelensky’s offer to head Bankova. He stated that he continues to serve Ukraine and considers the new position as another level of responsibility to the country.
