Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on the eve of his meeting with US President Donald Trump that important decisions could be made by the end of the year. According to him, this depends on the position of Ukraine’s international partners and pressure on Russia.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted on Sunday, December 28, that some of the most active diplomatic days are taking place at the end of the year.
“Now are some of the most active diplomatic days of the year, and much can be decided before the New Year, and we are doing everything for this, but whether there will be decisions depends on the partners. On those who help Ukraine and on those who put pressure on Russia so that the Russians feel the consequences of their own aggression,” said President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky.
He reported that this week alone, Russia has carried out more than 2,100 attacks with strike drones, used about 800 guided aerial bombs, and 94 missiles of various types.
“Everything is against our people, against life and everything that ensures its normality, first of all, against our energy infrastructure,” said President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
According to the head of state, energy workers, rescuers, and repair crews are working around the clock to restore power supply and protect civilians.
Zelensky stressed the importance of sanctions pressure on Russia, the supply of missiles for Ukraine’s air defense, and the finalization of steps aimed at ending the war and ensuring security.
The President also announced that he plans to discuss these issues with international partners.
As you know, on Sunday, December 28, Volodymyr Zelensky is scheduled to meet with US President Donald Trump in Palm Beach, Florida. The meeting is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. Kyiv time, which corresponds to 1:00 p.m. local time.
Zelenskyy previously said that during the talks he plans to discuss security guarantees, the reconstruction of Ukraine, and an economic agreement between Ukraine and the United States. According to him, the agreement is almost ready, and the decision on its signing will depend on the results of the meeting.
Before negotiations with the US President, Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a conversation with the leaders of the European Union.
By the way, the Russian leadership refused to support Ukraine’s peace plan and declared its lack of readiness for a ceasefire . Analysts note that Moscow retains its previous war goals and at the same time intensifies the rhetoric of pressure on NATO.
