Zelenskyy appointed Klymenko as head of the National Cybersecurity Center

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has appointed Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Ihor Klymenko as head of the National Cybersecurity Coordination Center.
This is stated in Decree No. 906/2026 , published on the president’s website.
The document amends the decree of June 7, 2016 No. 242/2016 “On the National Cybersecurity Coordination Center”.
“To appoint KLYMENKO Ihor Volodymyrovych – Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine – as the head of the National Cybersecurity Coordination Center,” the decree states.
The decree came into force on the day of its publication – September 14.
The National Cybersecurity Coordination Center is a working body of the National Security and Defense Council. Its tasks include analyzing the state of cybersecurity and coordinating the activities of security and defense sector bodies in this area.
As a reminder, in early August, Zelensky appointed Ihor Klymenko as Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council . Prior to that, he headed the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Previously, “Pryamiy” wrote that the National Cybersecurity Coordination Center had decided to restrict the use of Telegram in government agencies, military formations, and critical infrastructure facilities.
