Zelenskyy appointed Stefanyshyna as Commissioner for Development of Cooperation with the US

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has appointed Olga Stefanyshyna as Special Representative for the Development of Cooperation with the United States.
The head of state announced this on Telegram.
Stefanishyna will remain in her new position while the procedures for approving her candidacy for the position of Ukraine’s ambassador to the United States with Washington are ongoing.
“I signed a decree appointing Olga Stefanishyna as the special representative of the President of Ukraine for the development of cooperation with the United States of America. In this status, Olga will work to maintain momentum in relations with America while all the necessary procedures for approving her candidacy for the position of Ambassador of Ukraine to the United States with Washington are ongoing,” Zelenskyy noted.
He thanked Stefanishyna for her work on European and Euro-Atlantic integration. Zelensky noted that much has been achieved. In a few years, Ukraine has traveled a greater path of rapprochement with the EU than in the previous few decades.
The President also emphasized that Olga Stefanishyna participated in negotiations with the United States on a new format of economic cooperation and the creation of the Ukrainian-American Reconstruction Investment Fund.
“We will continue to work with America on this basis, adding mutually beneficial economic content to our political and diplomatic interaction,” the President said.
It was previously announced that Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Olga Stefanishyna will be appointed as Ukraine’s Ambassador to the United States .
