Zelenskyy dismissed Stefanishyna and six other Ukrainian ambassadors
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has made large-scale personnel changes in the diplomatic corps. The head of state dismissed Olga Stefanyshyna from the post of Ukraine’s ambassador to the United States and also signed decrees on the rotation of diplomats in a number of other countries.
This is stated in the decrees of the President of Ukraine, published on the official website of the head of state.
In particular, Zelensky dismissed Olga Stefanyshyna from the post of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the United States of America. She had worked in this position for almost a year – since August 2025.
In addition, the president dismissed:
- Volodymyr Khomanets – from the posts of Ambassador of Ukraine to Tunisia and Libya;
- Vasyl Khymynets – from the position of Ambassador of Ukraine to Austria;
- Valeria Yevdokimova – from the position of Ambassador of Ukraine to Tajikistan;
- Valeria Zhovtenko – from the position of Ambassador of Ukraine to Kyrgyzstan;
- Kateryna Zelenko – from the posts of Ambassador of Ukraine to Singapore and Brunei (part-time).
Also, by presidential decree, Vadym Omelchenko was dismissed from the position of Permanent Representative of Ukraine to UNESCO, which he held concurrently with the position of Ambassador of Ukraine to France.
At the same time, Zelenskyy appointed Viktoria Lyalina-Boiko as Ukraine’s permanent representative to UNESCO.
As a reminder, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed decrees on personnel changes in the field of national security . Ihor Klymenko became the new Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, and Rustem Umerov headed the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine.
