On June 27, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy enacted a National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) decision to impose sanctions on individuals and enterprises connected to Russia’s military-industrial complex.
This is stated in the presidential decree.
In particular, 34 legal entities registered in the Russian Federation and 52 individuals holding Russian citizenship were placed under sanctions.
Among those targeted are companies and individuals involved in the production of Shahed drones.
President Zelenskyy assigned responsibility for overseeing the implementation of this decision to the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been instructed to inform the relevant authorities of the EU, the United States, and other countries about the sanctions and to advocate for the introduction of similar restrictive measures abroad.
Earlier, Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a decree on new sanctions against those who cooperate with the enemy in the temporarily occupied territory.
