Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a telephone conversation with US President Donald Trump, which he described as “good and very productive.”
The head of state announced this.
Zelensky congratulated Trump on reaching an agreement for the Middle East, which he “really secured.”
This is a strong result. And if we can stop the war in that region, then other wars can certainly be stopped, including this Russian war,” Zelenskyy noted.
The Ukrainian President informed his American counterpart about Russian attacks on Ukraine’s energy sector and thanked him for his willingness to support Ukraine.
The parties discussed the possibility of strengthening Ukraine’s air defenses and the agreements being developed in this regard. According to Zelenskyy, there are “good options and strong ideas” for truly strengthening air defenses.
“We need Russians to be willing to engage in genuine diplomacy. This can be achieved through force. Thank you, Mr. President!” Zelenskyy added.
