Zelenskyy held a meeting with the Minister of Defense and the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine: key points

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting with the participation of Defense Minister Yevheniy Khmara and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Mykhailo Drapaty. During the meeting, changes in the management of the Medical Forces, the involvement of foreign volunteers, long-range operations, and priorities for actions at the front were discussed.

He reported this in a post on Telegram .

Following the meeting, decisions are being prepared to update management approaches and the system for responding to challenges in the command of the Medical Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine after the change of leadership.

Special attention was paid to scaling up successful practices of combat brigades and effective patronage services. According to Zelensky, spreading the successful experience of the Defense Forces is a priority for commanders at all levels.

They also discussed updating the regulatory framework and approaches to attracting foreign volunteers to the Defense Forces of Ukraine. Zelensky thanked the foreigners who have already joined the defense of Ukraine.

The President approved new long-range operations in response to Russian strikes and announced preparations to expand Ukraine’s long-range capabilities.

Zelenskyy separately noted the developers and manufacturers of weapons working to counter the Shahed rocket launchers. According to him, there are already several developments whose effectiveness has been confirmed by real-world use, and the next task is their systematic use and mass production.

Zelensky and Drapatiy also identified further priorities for active actions of the Defense Forces at the front.
