Zelenskyy imposed sanctions against former head of the President’s Office Bohdan and Medvedchuk’s associates

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has signed a decree imposing sanctions against five individuals, including former head of the Presidential Office Andriy Bohdan and individuals linked to Russia. The sanctions include asset freezes, a ban on trade transactions, and other restrictions for a period of 10 years.
This was reported by the Office of the President of Ukraine.
According to the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, the following were subject to sanctions:
- Andriy Bohdan — former head of the Office of the President of Ukraine;
- Bohdan Pukish is a businessman who is called an associate and partner of Viktor Medvedchuk;
- Alan Kiryukhin is a Russian businessman and manager of the A7A5 payment system;
- Stanislav Pozdnyakov — Olympic sports official of the Russian Federation;
- Mikhail Mamiashvili is a Russian Olympic sports official.
The message notes that the actions of sanctioned individuals, according to the NSDC, pose a threat to the national interests, security, sovereignty, and territorial integrity of Ukraine.
The sanctions are imposed for a period of 10 years. They provide for:
- blocking of assets;
- prohibition of trading operations;
- suspension of licenses and other permits;
- prohibition of participation in the privatization and lease of state property;
- deprivation of state awards of Ukraine indefinitely.
It is worth adding that Andriy Bohdan is a lawyer by profession and previously worked as a lawyer for Ihor Kolomoisky. During the 2019 presidential campaign, he advised Volodymyr Zelensky’s team on legal issues, and after the elections he headed the Presidential Administration, and later the Office of the President of Ukraine.

Previously, the President of Ukraine imposed sanctions against companies and individuals that supply Russia’s military-industrial complex , facilitate the circumvention of sanctions, carry out illegal business activities in the temporarily occupied territories, and participated in the construction of the Kerch Bridge.
