Zelenskyy named the condition for a significant increase in drone production

Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the Ukrainian defense-industrial complex has the capacity to increase drone production by 40% in 2025, but there is a lack of funds for this.

He said this during an online speech at the GLOBSEC 2025 international forum, which is taking place in the Czech Republic.

“We must support all forms of defense cooperation, especially those that help us become more technologically advanced and use drones of all types: in the air, on the ground, and at sea. Ukraine is ready to increase drone production by 40% in the near future, already this year,” Zelenskyy said.

He noted that the Ukrainian defense industry has all the necessary capacities, only funding is lacking.

Zelenskyy called on representatives of countries participating in GLOBSEC 2025 to “be faster in drones than our enemies.”

He also thanked the Czech Republic for its initiative to supply ammunition, noting that “it clearly showed that joint efforts can truly change the course of modern warfare.”

Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that China had practically blocked the sale of Mavic drones to Kyiv, instead supplying them to Russia .

By the way, the Ministry of Defense presented a line of Ukrainian fiber-optic Stalker drones, which can track and strike enemy targets, despite electronic warfare .
