Zelenskyy nominated Khmara and Sybiga to the Rada for ministerial positions
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has submitted to the Verkhovna Rada a proposal to appoint Yevheniy Khmara as Minister of Defense and Andriy Sybiga as Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.
This was announced by Yaroslav Zheleznyak, a member of parliament from the Holos faction.
“Zelensky submitted a motion for Khmara and Sybiga to Parliament,” he wrote.
According to Zheleznyak, from 5:00 p.m., parliamentary factions will begin meeting with candidates for ministerial positions.
Yevhenii Khmara has been acting as Minister of Defense since July 17. The government appointed him after consultation with the president.
Prior to that, Khmara served as the head of the Security Service of Ukraine.
