Zelenskyy signed a decree on changing the composition of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief’s Headquarters

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a decree changing the composition of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief’s Headquarters.

This is stated on the website of the presidential online representation.

In particular, from now on, the Headquarters will include Serhiy Boev, Deputy Minister of Defense, Head of the Presidential Office Kyrylo Budanov, and Head of the Main Intelligence Directorate Oleg Ivashchenko.

At the same time, the former head of the State Border Service, Serhiy Deinek, was removed from the ranks.

The decree entered into force from the moment of its publication – January 9, 2026.

As a reminder, in early January , Zelensky met with Kirill Budanov and offered him the position of head of the Presidential Office . On the same day, Budanov accepted the offer to become head of the Office of the President.

Zelenskyy previously stated that Ivashchenko would continue to serve in his position in Ukraine’s military intelligence .

At the same time, the former head of the State Border Service, Serhiy Deinek, was appointed advisor to the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine , and after a short rehabilitation, he will also become the commander of a combat unit of the State Border Service.
