On Tuesday, March 24, the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant lost connection to the main 750 kV Dniprovska power line.
This was reported by the IAEA press service.
Currently, the ZNPP has switched to a single backup line of external energy supply.
The Atomic Energy Agency is already beginning negotiations with Ukraine and the Russian Federation to establish a local ceasefire.
It is emphasized that the ceasefire will allow the damaged power line to be repaired.
“The IAEA team is monitoring the situation at the ZNPP,” the press service assured.
Recall, in February, the International Atomic Energy Agency agreed on a new local ceasefire in the area of the occupied Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant to restore backup power supply.
