Former Prosecutor General Riaboshapka: Poroshenko’s suspicion is a juridical “trash”, unjustified and illegal
The suspicion, which has been prepared by investigators of the State Bureau of Investigations, is a juridical “trash”, it is unjustified and illegal.
It has been stated by the former Prosecutor General Ruslan Riaboshapka in an interview with Olesia Batsman.
“Every lawyer who wanted to read this document had the opportunity to do it, comment on it and make his own conclusions. What was proposed to be signed is, in fact, a legal “trash” that does not withstand any criticism. In addition, obviously my signature could be the same basis for criminal prosecution in my direction. Because, firstly, the document was unjustified. Secondly, it was illegal. That is, what the fifth President was accused of was not well-justified – there was no evidence that proved these actions. And, in fact, the legal qualification was fantastic – the President could not be blamed for these actions at that time”, – said Ruslan Riaboshapka.
He emphasized that every lawyer who respects own signature and own name had no opportunity to sign such a document.
Riaboshapka assumes that Iryna Venediktova, who moved to the post of Prosecutor General directly from the office of the head of the SBI, can sign any document, if so instructed by the leadership.
“Today there is a new Prosecutor General who may have co-authored this document; she has been Prosecutor General for almost a week. She can surely sign this document. I am not an astrologer and I cannot predict it. I think she is ready to sign whatever she is asked to by those who have brought her into this post”, – says Ruslan Riaboshapka.
