Ministry of Defence of Ukraine Intelligence: “Russian army having funding problems”

After the promised payments to the servicemen, the Russian military units started to have funding problems. These payments are not presupposed by the budget. Due to the poor state of the Russia’s financial system impacted by the sanctions, it is impossible to find additional funding in the budget.

The information was provided by the Defence Intelligence of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine.

“Particularly, the available funding limit was completely exhausted in February after the payments to those participating in hostilities against Ukraine. There is no funding for payment in March”, indicates the intelligence.

According to the Defence Intelligence of the Ministry of Defence, a similar situation is also with the payments for Russian mercenaries of “private military campaign”. There is also a rising number of cases when they refuse to go to the territory of Ukraine. The reason is the non-fulfillment of the terms in the concluded contracts. The militants do not receive funds for the participation in the hostilities, injury compensation or promised “social guarantees”, says the message.
