On the night of April 28, the Russian occupational forces, which besiege Mariupol for 2 months, have shelled the “Azovsteel” steelworks plant around 50 times, where Ukrainian defenders hold the position.
Captain Svyatoslav Palamar, the “Azov” battalion second in command reports this in his video message.
“This night consisted of tremendous amounts of white phosphorous bombs, 50 air bombings, artillery, and rocket shellings, everything that shoots was shot at us, everything those barbarians can use against the humanity. How can we return fire, why are we alone against all the aviation and naval weaponry, against relentless artillery”, says the second in command.
He adds, that according to Ukrainian military calculations, Russia has spent $1,111,200,180 US dollars on Mariupol alone.
“We will never understand their actions because we are not the same”, concluded Palamar.
“For us, soldiers, words and actions are the same. That’s why we cannot comprehend why we hear promises, yet we see no actions. I call on the military and political leadership for decisive actions regarding the Mariupol de-blockade or evacuation of those, who hope and believe in Motherland. Today I pronounce – Mariupol is not Ukraine, but Ukraine is Mariupol”, says the “Azov” fighter.
Previously, Russian occupiers have attempted to cover the tracks of war crimes in Mariupol, especially the air bombing of drama theater.
Even more, according to the city council, Russian occupiers have forcefully deported more than 300 residents of Mariupol to the Far East
As reported previously, Mariupol occupiers plan to revise the housing and “nationalize” those houses, which have no owners.
By the way, Ukraine is preparing a Mariupol military de-blockade, but the help of western partners is needed. There is another way – diplomacy. But these attempts were pointless.
Meantime, in the face of a severe humanitarian crisis in the besieged city, soldiers ask the Pope to help rescue civilian residents of Mariupol, which are targeted by Russian aviation every day.
