Russian Ministry of Defense called the genocide of Ukrainians in the Kyiv region a “sweep” – those involved in murders are awarded by the state

The Russian official media called the genocide of the civilian Ukrainian population in the settlements around Kyiv a “sweep” to further fortify their positions. The Russian Ministry of Defense announced the successful completion of “primary objectives” near Kyiv and Chernihiv and awarded paratroopers, involved in the shooting of civilians in occupied cities and towns.

Earlier, on March 30th, “Zvezda” Ministry of Defense official TV channel said, that marines are conducting a sweep of settlements in the Kyiv region to fortify their positions, especially in Bucha and Gostomel

On the same day, reporting on the implementation of the primary objectives in Kyiv and Chernihiv directions, the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Defense Ihor Konashenkov noted that the Russian army created had met the final stage conditions of the “republics of Donbas liberation” operation.

Already on April 2, the state awards were handed out to the Airborne Troops (Airborne Forces) of the Russian Federation, who were deployed in the Kyiv region.

“The commander of the unit handed out state awards to servicemen who were distinguished during the performance of combat tasks during a special military operation”, said the Russian Ministry of Defense.

Previously, the President of the European Council, Charles Michel, said that the EU will help Ukraine collect evidence of the Russian crimes in the Kyiv region.

Previously, after the liberation of the Kyiv region from the Russian occupiers, evidence of genocide of Ukrainians – mass killings of civilians, tortures, and rapes – were found in settlements.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba urged the mission of the International Criminal Court to come to the Kyiv region to see and collect evidence of the war crimes of Russians.
