Russians have killed 169 children in Ukraine during their invasion

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Russian occupational troops have already killed 169 children and wounded 306 more.

This is reported by the press center of the Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine.

“Almost 475 children have suffered in Ukraine since the beginning of the Russian armed aggression. Amongst them, 169 children have died and more than 306 were injured”, the message says.

According to the data received by juvenile prosecutors, the most affected were children in the Kyiv region – 88 children, Donetsk region – 81 children, Kharkiv region – 75 children, Chernihiv region – 50, Mykolaiv region – 40, Luhansk region – 35, Zaporizhzhya region – 22, Kherson region – 29, the Kyiv city – 16 children, Sumy region– 1, Zhytomyr region – 15″, reads the message, published on the telegram channel on Friday morning.

At the same time, the authorized representative of the Verkhovna Rada on Human Rights Liudmila Denisova emphasized that these figures are the data of the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations, as well as other sources that need to be confirmed.

“The actual number of dead and wounded children cannot be established due to the fact that the occupying forces are still conducting active hostilities in Ukrainian cities”, emphasizes the Ombudsman.
