The Armed Forces of Ukraine deter Russian occupiers and carry out successful counterattacks – General Staff report
The armed forces of Ukraine successfully deter Russian occupiers in all directions and conduct successful counterattacks in certain areas.
This is stated in the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine report.
“The thirty-sixth day of the heroic defense of the Ukrainian people from the Russian military has begun. The leadership of the Russian Federation considers the creation of occupation authorities in the occupied territories. According to available information, Russia is looking for judges, prosecutors, and police personnel of their own to work in occupied territories”, says the message.
In particular, the Russian security service – the FSB, 652nd psyops group and officers, and 12th Main Department of the General Staff of the Russian Federation are responsible for the implementation of pseudo-republic creation on the territory of the Kherson region. The main area of activity of these units is the so-called “outreach” with local authorities and the population. Information support is carried out by demonstrating video stories with front persons.
At the same time, the moral and psychological state of the enemy troops and the level of motivation of the personnel of the units of the occupation troops to participate in hostilities remains low and tends to deteriorate.
“According to available information, two platoon commanders of the 60th separate motorized brigade of the 5th eastern army were discharged due to the failure to carry out an order. To carry out the explanatory work, the arrival of the deputy commander of the brigade for military and political work to the area of the combat tasks of the BTG in Yasynivka, Donetsk region is planned” – the General Staff noted.
Furthermore, in the junctions and parts of the Baltic Fleet, particularly the 79th Motorized Rifle Brigade of the 11th Army Corps, numerous cases of further service refusal and unwillingness to sign contracts by servicemen of fixed-term service were reported.
There are reports of Russian military equipment movement in the, most probably for the unit regroup, as well as creating a reserve for replenishment of losses in manpower, weapons, and equipment of groups operating on the territory of Ukraine.
There are multiple reports of mines spotted in residential houses on previously occupied territories of the Kyiv region.
“The Defence Forces continue to conduct a defensive operation in the East, Southeast, and Northeast directions. In all directions, the enemy is successfully restrained by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in some — our troops carry out successful counterattacks” – summary by the General Staff.
“The Joint Forces group in Donetsk and Luhansk directions has repelled 5 enemy attacks in a single day. Our soldiers destroyed 10 tanks, 18 AFV units, and 13 transport vehicles, as well as 15 artillery systems. The enemy also suffered losses in manpower. The Air Force Group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine struck 7 air targets the previous day – 4 aircraft and UAVs, 2 cruise missiles. Air Forces continue to launch missile and bomb strikes at the places of accumulation of equipment and enemy manpower”, the message says.
