General Prosecutor’s Office: the Russians killed or injured more than 572 children in Ukraine

As a result of the Russian aggression in Ukraine, more than 572 children have suffered. Among them are 205 dead and 367 wounded.

This was reported on the General Prosecutor’s Office’s Telegram channel.

“According to juvenile prosecutors, the most affected were children in Donetsk region — 118 children, Kyiv region — 108, Kharkiv region — 91, Chernyhiv region — 54, Kherson region — 43, Mykolaiv region — 40, Luhansk region — 36, Zaporizhzhya region — 25, the Kyiv city — 16 children, Sumy region — 16, Zhytomyr region — 15”, the post says.

On March 14, a civilian car exploded on an unidentified explosive device in a forest belt near the village of Zakharovka in the Kyiv region, the family was evacuating. An 8-year-old child was injured and her mother died.

On 18 April, the occupying forces shelled the village of Shandrigolova in the Donetsk region, wounding a 16-year-old girl. In a meantime, a 14-year-old girl was injured due to the shelling of the village of Preobrazhenka in the Zaporizhzhya region. Also, as a result of a rocket attack on Lviv, a 3-year-old child was injured.

“Due to bombing and shelling by the Russian army, 1,141 educational institutions were damaged, 99 of them were completely destroyed”, the press center says.

It should be noted that 55 days have passed since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine by Russia. The enemy intensified rocket attacks on installations in western regions and offensive actions along the entire frontline in Donbas. The occupiers are also advancing on the Izium axis.
