The student from Bucha, Tatiana Sichkar, who survived after the occupation, told how Russian militaries shot her mother. Additionally, they didn`t allow to take the body. Father, who tried to communicate with them, was taken prisoner and given interrogation, after that they throw him out in the street with tied hands and with a bag on his head.

Tatiana Sichkar told this terrible story in the air of “Pryamiy”.

According to her words, she with dad and mum were coming back from grandmother when they suddenly heard shots.

“I was going after mum. Mother fell. I thought she was hiding from this shot. Screamed “lie down”. All of us lied down. Shots were close. As I realized later, the bullet flew almost in meter from me. Fortunately, I was not injured. But it was so loud that I thought blood was flowing from my ear” Tatiana says.

But when she started to call her mother, she didn`t respond and didn’t move. “Mum-mum, are you okay? Mother was lying and wasn’t responding. The bullet hit in her head. The only, we can hope – she died immediately and didn’t feel any pain… It`s scary to say something like this”, girl remember.

Ignoring father`s supplications not to move, Tatiana approached to her mother. “I stood up, started to look in her eyes, started to call her somehow. But her sight has already… As she walked and looked ahead, so she lay and looked nowhere. The whole her face was in blood because the bullet hit the forehead accurately. And the blood started to flow. From head also was flowing. I took her hand. Thought, maybe, she would squeeze mine. Maybe, she could do anything else. But she wasn`t reacting at all, wasn`t responding. I saw how has already flown, so quickly, spread on asphalt”, says Tatiana.

It was clear that the Russians that were nearby shot, the girl recalled.

“Dad said me to escape to grandmother. I ran away. He told to call a neighbor to take the body… Father went independently to negotiate about taking a body. But he was taken to interrogation. After that, in the middle of the night he was thrown away… They tied his arms, the bag on his head. The whole time, when he was on interrogation, he was with this bag and tied arms. He was just thrown in the middle of Bucha…” Tatiana says.

Because her grandfather was a veteran of the Afghan war, she says, he was able to negotiate with the Russians to remove the body. “Dad came back next day. The whole morning he was digging the grave. We provided funeral. Neighbors helped… In the yard. We buried her near an oak tree. Because in such conditions it’s maybe the best we could do”, girl recalls barely holding back tears.

Tatiana doesn`t understand such inhuman behavior of the Russian militaries. “I don`t understand how it is possible just to shot a person. It was clear, that we are family, that we hadn`t had any weapon, nothing. They just fired from a hiding place – it’s like a hunt. It’s not human at all… Who immediately shoots like that, just in the head to defeat? They understood that they were shooting at the mother in front of her child”, she said.
